  • Develops policies and programs for the Energy Management System ISO 50001:2011 as required by Republic Act 11285 or the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act of 2019. Coordinates with Water Supply and Wastewater facility managers and assigned Energy Management Committee, on all energy related regulatory compliance and ensures that all permitting and reportorial requirements by regulatory agencies such as DOE, ERC, and PSALM.
  • Conduct internal audits/spot audits of operating facilities to verify compliance to internal and external requirements. Manages internal audit teams and leads the Energy Review with Energy Management Team. Manage periodic energy audit program to determine the energy cost savings opportunities and report progress work with plant personnel as required maximizing non-capital opportunities
  • Manages all projects related to energy efficiency in Operations. Analyzes trends related energy consumption for significant energy users in WS and WW Operations. Performs energy audits and ensures that programs are aligned with the Group's overall targets.
  • Develop business cases and assist in writing capital and/or resource appropriations requests
  • Responsible for WESM and BCQ billing reconciliation and settlement. This includes validation and reconciliation of Billing determinants from Power Plant to Customer Node, Preparation of Monthly Load Summary and preparation of Monthly Billing.
  • Addresses risks and issues across multiple and complex projects and programs in Open Access and Energy Management. Regular communication with PMs and FMs on site to discuss load profile, load patterns and management of efficiency metrics. This would include potential changes in water supply which could alter historical energy consumption of the contestable facilities.
  • Prepare and maintain baseline information on key energy parameters relative to applicable significant energy consuming activities within the plant. Develop and maintain an energy management team consisting of appropriate personnel within the plant. Improve the energy conservation campaign whose primary objective is to raise energy awareness in the company to facilitate a change in the plant culture relative to energy.
  • Perform detailed Utility bill analyses of the customer's energy usages or plant processes and develop recommendations for more efficient operation of equipment.
  • Develop a or works on projects aimed at energy efficiency and renewable energy in Manila Water Operations eventually targeting to lower overall power cost.
  • Relationship Management to external stakeholder to ease transacting business especially in dealing with Distribution Utility (DU) and Retail Electricity Supplier.
